Pastor of Family Ministries - The Vine (Austin, TX)

Summary
The Family Pastor is a key relational leader on The Vine staff team and in the life of the church, overseeing ministry for individuals from birth to graduation of high school. This role also partners with parents as we shepherd, lead and encourage children and youth to follow Jesus through real relationships, sacred experiences, and generous compassion.

Responsibilities
● Lead VineKids and VineYouth Ministry teams, volunteers and program
● Cultivate the continuity of our programs from birth to high school through
curriculum and experiences
● Foster connections with Vine families as a relational leader
● Develop ministry and programs to encourage healthy relationships within families
● Ensure consistent communication and partnership with parents to encourage
discipleship in the home
● Provide care (guidance, visitation, prayer support) as needed to children, youth
and their families alongside the Lead Pastor and the VineCare Team
● Hold training events for VineKids and VineYouth volunteers as needed
● Create & attend major programming events for families, children and youth
● Optionally preach or lead elements in our worship services
● Ensure safety protocols are developed and adhered to throughout all
programming

Qualification
● Experience in directing programs – either in a church, non-profit or for-profit context
● A person with gifts and passion for the spiritual formation of children and youth
● A solid working knowledge of Scripture and the ability to teach Biblically-based
curriculum
● Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and other ministry leaders to integrate the mission of the church into the life of our families
● Evidence of servant leadership, strong initiative and detail oriented
● Experienced and gifted teacher, positive and energetic leader, with a strong
sense of creativity and imagination
● Skilled in recruiting, leading, supporting and supervising volunteers
● Ability to learn technology and maintain church database/CRM software


Relationships
● Reports to the Lead Pastor with oversight by The Vine’s Leadership Team
● Leads VineKids & VineYouth staff and volunteers
● Works in collaboration with The Vine staff & related ministry committees
